Each earring is hand painted and lacquered for a smooth, satin (between matte and gloss) protective finish. They are made of wood so please be sure not to submerge them in water, ie. remove before bathing, showering or swimming. It is also recommended to remove them before sleeping. To clean, simply wipe with a damp (not soaking wet) cloth and leave out to dry. These earrings are hypoallergenic, nickel and lead-free. Perfect for sensitive ears!
